Quilter's blog festival

Thank you to Amy at Amy's creative side for hosting a quilter's blog festival. So, here is my entry!

Okay so I am new to the quilting thing. I did my first one about a year ago with a tutorial online. I love blogs and the lovely people who put the time into them!

This is the fourth quilt that I made and it was for our bed. I wanted something bright and colorful that matched what I wanted and couldn't find anything like that (I have been looking for 5 years). So, when I began to quilt why not, I will make one for my bed!

I was a queen sized quilt and was a little bit abmitious for a newbie, but I did and I am proud of it!
This is the few from the front. I love the way that it turned out!
This is the backing. I love using sheets for the backing. I just stitched in the ditch for this one! It was the first one I did that for the rest I free motion quilted which I like a little bit more. I wanted to keep the crispness of the front of the quilt.
That is where all the quilt link are for all of blog land. Go have fun and get quilting!!
