My favorite tradition. For Christmas, it's putting up the Christmas tree. I love going out in the cold, picking out a tree, then coming home and decorating it. It's not christmas in my house until there is a tree.

  10. Aww, I just love that mushroom flannel. My favorite part of the holidays is giving presents. I'm a natural schemer, so I spend the entire year pondering what to get for my friends, sometimes I'll buy something six months in advance. It's really great to be able to finally give the present!

  14. Wow, I love both prizes but I am wanting flannel PJ pants for myself so the flannel is #1 for me! One of our traditions is to go to a movie on Christmas day! We love movies and it is a great way to get out of the house. (You know, family is great, but when you need some time off from being "on" around the fams, a movie theater is nice and quiet and dark!

We all bring a woman's gift or man's gift and we play the game of taking your gift or taking someone else's gift. It is so funny and can get pretty competitive. My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is that my family always just spends Thanksgiving Day making cookies. When I was little, my dad used to go to my grandparents to butcher hogs on Thanksgiving so my mom started making peanut butter blossoms with me when I was about one. I got to unwrap the kisses. Now our children get to do the kiss unwrapping! I love Thanksgiving. *We don't eat turkey either! None of us like turkey, much to the dismay of my husband:)

I got out the hymnal to practice for the big day(normally I sound like a dying cow:) and then she took her turn. So cute turning the page to find the right song, holding it in her hands, staring at the tree, and singing like no tomorrow. We only have one child so I guess it probably isn't as fun as if you have a few but we still enjoy watching Alex look for the pickle. I would love to have the apron panel, my friend collects aprons and I would love to make it for her for Christmas. The flanel is great too. If I am lucky enough to win, you can decide. koletzke@centurytel.net

Favorite old tradition - hubby and I go and cut a tree for our home the day after thanksgiving. A new tradition - we have a new daughter (one month old!) this year and we (well, I) decided to get a small live tree and the tree will grow with her. Each year, I'll make a handmade ornament for her so when she finally grows up and out of the house, she can take the tree with all different handmade ornaments with her to her new family.

  89. I love both! My favorite tradition would be buying a new Christmas ornament. My aunt started that when I was born. And I have continued this into my adult life. Finding the perfect ornament to remind me of that year. :)
